Sapkowski's Witcher books are apparently very popular in native Poland, and only recently have migrated to the UK and US. Andrej Sapkowski The Last Wish 3/5 stars. If you are Polish and a book fan I understand where you are coming from, but since I can't get my hands on the books where I live, the W1 is the closest thing I have to an introduction to the world.
